Title: Need AFTO 33K10-4-2-10
Post by: dminesinger on 11-27-2009 -- 02:23:57
Army automated procedure for attenuators sucks. Looked at AF procedure it calls for  AFTO 33K10-4-2-10.

Is this the Next Gen software. And how can I in a contract calibration lab for the Army get a copy to run.

PM me.

You will not be able to get the NextGen software from the Air Force. That's actually a good thing. Ask anyone on here that has had the misfortune of trying to use it. It's atrocious. Just bite the bullet and do them manually.

Fortunately, we still have the old DOS MMS system running..much faster than NextGen..and most of the generators we do are programmed in, even integrating the new MMR and new generators...

And now we have the new controller for sensors, I have spare parts from the old PMCS computer..

Don't knock the old stuff..except for phase noise, I can do an 8663 or 8340 in less than two hours..try that with NextGen...

So on the mark, Mike; I only wish we still had our complete 8902MS running.   Running the new controller for the PMCS has been smooth, but watch it when you need to update your cal factors for the F1109 or other Standard.   It has a bit of a twist to it.
