Anyone have or know where I can get an Audio Precision calibration procedure? Or are they as proprietary as it looks like when searching the internet? I have a few of various models that I need to support. 2722, 2322, 2522.. and is the SYS-2722 the same procedure as for the 2722?

I've downloaded numerous manuals from the Audio Precision website along with some other websites, but none of them have a calibration procedure. There is a "Performance Check" procedure for some of the models that even has a note specifying that it is not to be considered a legitimate calibration. These folks at Audio Precision don't appear to want outside labs calibrating their equipment. I have a bunch of them that I need to support, and it looks like they may need to go back to the OEM.
I just went through the user manual above again to make sure I wasn't missing anything. But these instruments have really good spectral THD specs - quite a bit better than an HP 8903B. I'm hoping someone out there has actually calibrated some of them and may be able to give me some insight as to a legitimate procedure.
You might consider sending one in for cal, and then look at the cal report..you may find it's just a 1:1 TAR

I'm kind of thinking if I could spend a couple of days on one that I could reverse engineer a lot of it (with the exception of adjustments - making the presumption that it is probably proprietary software).
I think if maybe I buy a set of band pass filters (balanced), I could replicate similar methodology as with HP 8903B, only with ultra pure sine sources. I've tinkered with the process a little. We just got a new requirement to support about between 20 and 30 units, and I hate to send them all out when the only part I "THINK" will be a big challenge will be the THD accuracy checks that exceed the 8903B. Actually, maybe I could use two HP 8903B's as the sources, with added filters to purify them as needed...
I don't know. I'm hoping someone out there may have some experience on these that will help me with this. I don't like it when OEM's get proprietary on such things. I'd rather have them tell me here's how to do it, and here's all the elaborate stuff you need to do it with. Then let me decide if I want to spend all the money on the elaborate stuff to do the cal.

I have a very clean source by Stanford Research, here's a link to a manual for it that includes performance test. I use an Agilent 339A for notch filter but this also includes recipe for a couple.

I had my Audio Precison P1+ calibrated by the factory. The report indicates a TUR >10 for most of the tests. Only Amplitude meter flatness is at 5. 0, and Selective Amplitude accuracy at 120 kHz has a TUR of 6. 0.

For NIST traceability, they add a Audio Precision SYS_2722.
When I bought the unit, the sales guy said that only AP could properly calibrate and he did not make money on the calibration.
