Title: New Way Air Bearings
Post by: bAdbOb on 06-20-2014 -- 08:36:30
We calibrate many large OD mics (up to 40") at our lab. We found some air bearings which may make calibration a whole lot easier. Here are a couple of links:

Does anyone have any experience with these? What are your thoughts about them whether you have used them or not?

Thank you for your input!!!

This method would most assuredly be a huge improvement vs trying to hold a large mic in hand.
Ive already forwarded this reccomendation upline!
Great Idea!

Update: We have been using these air bearings for over a year now. They make calibrating large micrometers much less time consuming and we get very repeatable results. We are very satisfied with our investment.
