Title: Bell Jar for Older Ruska 2465
Post by: Hawaii596 on 08-18-2014 -- 15:37:22
Anyone know where there may be any used bell jars for the older Ruska 2465?  Or alternatives?

Looks like the 2465A and maybe even the 2468A might be the same dimension as the 2465.  Can anyone confirm that?

The original one on the 2465 isn't exactly shaped like a traditional bell jar, but it is referred to that way.  The one on the 2465 has a flat metal top with gasket, versus an actual, single piece bell shape.

What is that used for? I am sitting in front of a 2465 and have no idea what application it would be used for with it. Anyone have a model number?

To allow you to attach a vacuum pump for the vacuum reference for absolute pressure generation.
