Title: Fluke 971
Post by: OlDave on 03-31-2015 -- 08:02:19
Anybody have an adjustment procedure for the humidity on a Fluke 971 temperature humidity meter?
I called Fluke and they were downright rude, said my only option was to send it to them. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Everything is going black box these days.  Did it look like it even had trimpots?  Some of these newer Fluke hygrometers, I think, are software only.  Don't know about this one.  Seems I had one come in a while ago, and we ended up having to send to Fluke.  If its the model I think it might be, we had about five of them come in from someone, and either two or three of them were out of spec in RH.  I just checked the database, and yes, that was the model.  I was not impressed.  It appeared to have a high out of tolerance rate, and had to go back to OEM for adjustment, as the RH can only be adjusted via software using their proprietary interface.  If I recall correctly, when you open it, there is a small serial type interface that goes back to their customer fixturing.

Not a great instrument.

We're having the same problem with these. 70% OOT rate, and Fluke won't provide any calibration adjustment support for them. We're in the process of purging the inventory of them.
