I'm in need of an Engineering Handbook for K5/K6 sections. What I am specifically interested in are the mass/temperature coefficients of cast Iron, stainless steel, brass from an authority I can use in uncertainty estimates.
Sounds like you are doing mass calibrations. All my data has been collected through the years and consists of old dogeared copies that I can't reference the origin of. I remember getting at least some of it when I went through NIST Advanced Mass Measurement Training years ago. You might send an email to owm@nist.gov and see if they can provide you with the data you need.
I did get in contact with NIST, thanks.
They sent me two documents which I'd like to post. Can you tell me if I can attach a pdf to my post here and if so, how?
Machinist Handbook has that info in it also.
OK, here is the link NIST sent me in response to my request for temperature/mass coefficients for metals.

I am not even remotely an expert on this. I am simply posting what I have gathered. The link appears to be a NIST SOP on how to calculate the temperature coefficient for mass.
They also sent a pdf for an old NBS document that lists the coefficients for common metals but it is interesting that the document states that the information was taken from various engineering handbooks and manufacturers.
I can forward the NBS pdf to you if you'd like to see it.
