Need recommendations for a UPS to keep Fluke 5520A up for say 30 minutes due to power failure and line conditioning. Need sizing for it.

If you go by the actual power consumption which I would measure myself at say, 1 KW output and then double that you'll be in the ballpark.
At one point I did have the responsibility of calibrating all the UPS units for a major rental company and I can tell you that very few if any of the units with any type of battery met spec for power out.
If you can find a UPS with Lithium Ion batteries you will probably stand a better chance of getting the performance you need.
I would not perform any self cal while the unit is on UPS power. We've had one 3458A for very expensive repair/recal after it was turned off during autocal.
I wonder if "stacking" would work. Our Cesium Beam, for example (operated by a separate engineering group that develops some GPS hardware that my parent company OEM's) has it's gel cells (SLA or whatever cells are in it). They have the Cesium then plugged into a UPS. So with power loss, the UPS kicks in, followed when it runs out of juice, by the internal batteries (which I am thinking of doing for my main house DC reference (Fluke 732A).
So, the thought occurs to me of perhaps stacking UPS's in the same way we stack a UPS on an internal battery back up. So, maybe a UPS plugged into another UPS, plugged into the instrument.
I don't know if it would work, but it's a thought. This, if there is not sufficient sized UPS for the application.
