How Enron Worked the President ...
(This is an interesting bit of information that you don't hear much about.)
A. Enron's chairman DID meet with the president and the vice president in the Oval Office.
B. Enron DID give $420,000 to the president's party over three years
C. Enron DID donate $100,000 to the president's inauguration festivities.
D. The Enron chairman stayed at the White House 11 times.
E. This corporation DID have access to the administration at its highest level and even enlisted the Commerce and State Departments to grease deals for them.
F. The taxpayer-supported Export-Import Bank subsidized Enron for more than $600 million in just one transaction.
Scandalous!!
BUT...the president under whom all this happened was NOT George W. Bush.
SURPRISE! It was Bill Clinton!
Pass this on so the whole Country will know. The Media Won't!

Very interesting! I should spend a little more time fact-checking these emails I get from my "conservative" friends.
Coup is right, though. The Clintons were rife with scandal, corruption, lies, and a host of other offenses that offend me as a human being, not just as a Republican.
In general, I believe that money and politics are always close together, and no politician of any political persuasion is sanctimonious enough to deny the contributions of an Enron, Sierra Club, or Freezer's favorite- The Polar Bear Club. $5 or $500,000, they'll take it all.

It usually doesn't take too much digging to find some nefarious goings-on in either party or for individual candidates. That Abrahmoff deal hit hard for a large percentage of the senate.

Nadar is a phony. He tries to play this " I am a normal guy like you " routine, but he is a multimillion dollar, do anything for money hack. Looking at his investments in Defense Contracts it makes him a hypocrite as well. The last guy you want in office is one that can be bought. We've seen too many of those kinds already. He's just playing another angle. Nadar preach's against the military and defense yet he invest in it. Typical politician. HE even preach's against the stock market and he has made millions in it. We need someone with conviction and integrity. Someone who practices what they preach. Not someone who will roll over for a dime.
I am sure this person exist, but where is he? I hope to see this man stand up in 2008.
I'd run for office, but my past isn't exactly squeaky clean... They'd dig up all those old stories about my drunken revelry in Germany, and I'd be vilified in the liberal press. Toss in my prediliction for the occasional cigar, and it'd be all over. Of course, the press forgave Clinton for his cigar habit, so maybe I could get away with it.. I'm a Christian, though; the press hates Christians...
Does this man/woman exist? I don't know. Dr. Rice comes close, and I'd love to see her run against Hillary. Of course, a black republican is such a rarity that she may not have the horsepower to get elected. She's pretty smart, knows her way around Washington, good with the military and foreign policy, and brains with common sense can handle domestic policy, so maybe she's the one to do the job.
Being that the Democratic Party is really racist they would rip her ( Dr. Rice ) apart.
I know some of you may say that it is the other way around with racisim, but we all know who is racist. How many black people did Clinton have in his cabinet again? Oh yeah, he didn't trust any black people with any real power. Of course it was the democrates that wanted to continue slavery. Thank God for a republican president to end that. Of course it was the southern democrates back in the 60's that fought against civil rights.
I think the democratic party has done a very good job of hiding their true feelings by pointing there finger to the other party. But when the facts are revealed they just shut up and walk away. I guess it is typical of a party that has the same philosophy of socialism as Hitler.
I think I should run for president. Picture this:
6'0" 260 lbs black male with a 405lb bench press, tattoos, super conservative, Jesus-lover, killer of mammals, retiles, etc, (for food, of course), former Marine, pro-death penalty guy, and sporting Mossy Oak hunt'in gear in church sitting in tha whitehouse. You know us black folks just luv a cookout! BBQ at tha whithouse and all yall invited! They're be deer, wild hog, quail and collard greens! :-D
So who going to write me in? Doc, you'll be head of that cabient (which I'm renaming to "Tha Git're Dun Boys"). Coup will be in charge of SS. Hoop will head up the CIA and Thraxas will be in charge of DOD spending. I got it all planned out....Opening deer season will be a national holiday. :-D :mrgreen:
