Title: Gauge Block Protectant
Post by: dallanta on 07-19-2006 -- 10:06:25
Looking for information.  I am trying to find some of the thick dark gauge block grease.  Mil-C-16173 grade 2.  The darn manufacturer does not have it at a resonable price.  It is stock listed, but GSA.  So I was wondering what everyone else is using.  Presently, we use mineral oil, but need something more for shipping.

We have been using DOALL Gage Block Preservative, aerosol cans and a layer of wax paper over the top of the blocks. Catolog # 060220
