Title: Infrared Thermometer Calibration
Post by: K-Rock on 09-21-2006 -- 10:52:22
I have a Mikron M90A-2 Infrared Thermometer, which the owning activity wants calibrated to 2500 Deg. C. The only "accredited" vendor I can find (Process Inst.) can only go to 1700 Deg. C.
I would appreciate any help in finding an accredited vendor with a blackbody source exceeding 2000 Deg. C.

The AFPSL is accredited, but I do not believe blackbodies is one of the parameters.

you can go to the A2LA site and do a seach to find a lab. I wish we were able to do it, because I would charge you big $$$$$. Hahaha. Just kidding check out A2LA and they can direct you to a good lab. :-D

Thanks all! I ran exhaustive searches on A2LA w/o any luck to that range.
FAR can do it, just have to visit them to get them on our ASL.

I looked on the A2LA site and the  Fluke Cal.  Center in Everett, WA can go to 2973 deg.  Kelvin with an acc: of  +/- 1.  8 e-3 K +/- 0. 95 K.  I hope this helps.
