I have a situation (details can't be entered here for confidentiality reasons).
If anyone is a vibration cal geek, please help. I have to send accelerometers out and have some quality oriented questions.
The circumstance regards use of an Unholtz-Dickie 351 Shaker system with model 8B6 Accelerometer as it's reference standard. I need to know (if anyone has this info):
1. Frequency range of the 351 and 8B6
2. amplitude range of the 8B6 (particularly it's minimum g pp sensitivity)
3. System accuracy.
NOTES: I found a Navair that rated them 8 - 2000 Hz (but OEM website had wider specs). I found an A2LA scope of accreditation for a 351 system that rated it 1 - 100 g pp and 100 - 1000 Hz (I'm guessing those are conservative numbers for accreditation purposes).
Not sure if anyone out there is really savvy on vibration cals. If so, please help. If any gurus want further details, send me a private message and I can email you a little more info.
