Post by: Velasco on 03-16-2008 -- 23:29:14
I have a PG7601 with the piston stuck in cylinder, i.e. at the edge just before it comes out of the cylinder, its really wedged any ideas how to get it unstuck without damaging it? :?

The manufacturer got back with me on this, the solution worked great, just for your info:

"From your description, I would guess that the piston is mostly removed from the cylinder and that the bottom lip of the piston is slightly cocked at the top of the cylinder. Right?   Depending on how tightly the piston is stuck you should be able to use the red aluminum piston extraction tool with the Teflon ring to pop the piston out."

As it turned out it popped out very easily with minimal force using this method, this is for DHi pistons.

What size piston/cylinder is it? I'm guessing it is the 10 kPa light.  I get them stuck and unstuck all the time.
