Long time excited say since I bookmarked it over a year ago. Live action G.I. Joe

Somebody told me about District 9. Directed by nobody and starring nobody.

I'm pretty sure there's some DC Comics or Marvel Comics movies in the pipeline too.

TRON in 2010!  The preview so far isn't very informative, but Jeff Bridges will be reprising his role as Flynn.  It looks like he may be the bad guy for this one though. (that is pure speculation, though)  If you get a chance, stop by Apple.com and check out the trailer.

Steve McQueen at his steely-eyed best as Detective Frank Bullitt. Set in late 60s San Francisco, we follow Bullitt as he tries to protect a witness from a bunch of thugs who dont want him to confess. The plot doesn't matter so much, what matters is (a) Steve Mcqueen (b) McQueen's souped up 390 Mustang. Mcqueen did most of his own stunt driving, realism which pays off with one of the best car chases on film! Bullitt is more proof that Mcqueen was the king of cool...on screen and off.

Hippie

One of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time chase scenes.

Possiblity for a good movie, from the only preview I've seen, is Daybreakers.  The world is now almost entirely populated by vampires and the food is getting scarce...
It has potential...maybe.

Zombieland

That one looks like it could be pretty good.  Maybe a little humor element to it.  I'll think I'll probably wait for that one until it comes out on video though.  Then, I've been doing that a lot lately.  Not really a whole lot worth going to see in theatres.

I wait for virtually all of them to come out on video, I only get to a theater 2 or 3 times a year, if that much. Too much money, too many stinker movies, I live on Netfix, lol

Sometimes I'll rent from XboX Live or just bypass the whole system.  I can't even justify paying to own most of these titles.

INGLOURIOUS B*STERDS  - went to see with my 20 year old son last Saturday.

Mixed feelings.  Some brilliant acting and a very well made movie.  The actor who protrayed the nazi Colonel Landa did an outstanding job with the part.

The down side is there was a lot of gory violence.  It made me wince more than once.  also, there were some major historical details that were very fictitionalized.  I won't say what they were in case anyone may go see it.  Curious as to what others may think.

Pretty much have to check reality at the door for every movie I see these days.  With that being said, I've really learned to enjoy movies more.  Loved Inglorious as well as District 9.  Tonight is Final Destination, but would rather be seeing Hurt Locker-which I know nothing about, but former EOD buddy loved it.

I am interested in The Boondock Saints 2.  Hopefully it will be at least as good as the first one.

Bryan

No "This is it" nominations?
I'm mildly interest in the remake of Red Dawn, not holding out a lot of hope though, I figure it'll be pretty dumbed down and politically corrected so as not to cause confusion with the administration.

cobychuck

I'm sure it will probably not be as good.  Besides, why are they remaking Red Dawn?  What was wrong with the first one?  Given the times in which it is being remade, are we going to invade ourselves (given the current administration) or are they going to take the Chinese route?  Could go either way if you ask me.
