I know the answer is...................NO. Nobody knows, Everyone can speculate about it, but nobody knows.

They just did all kinds of test off the coast of NC with SONAR.........you guessed it....good fishing, no beached whales/dolphins...etc. Even the elusive endangered (my ass) sea turtles where around...................hmmm turtle stew.............I digress.........SONAR has been being used for a long....long time.

This forum is all about open discussion and I don't really see the need for personal attacks.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that they are counter-productive to the process.  Who wants to weigh in with a different opinion knowing that they are going to be ridiculed for it?

Anyway, I know that you are passionate about your causes flew-da-coup (as are many of the forum members), but let's keep the discussion on topic and refrain from the personal attacks.  Thanks.

My point exactly!  It was his first post and he is hit with a personal attack.  What a way to welcome the new guy.  Granted his post was provocative, there was no reason to defame his character.  I wouldn't blame anyone for not returning for more of the same. 

In fact, I happen to know that there are several active members who refrain from posting in certain topics due to this same tactic.  As the administrator of this site, I've let some questionable things go in the name of free speech (the muslim threads come to mind), but I just can't continue to let this kind of stuff go on.  Even if it is not meant to be personal, it is being perceived that way and is stifling the forum.

As for what I expect,  I expect the members of this forum to handle it by discussing the topics intelligently and openly, and not by intimidation.

I guess we could just lay off the political stuff. I didn't mean any harm. It was his post about the "Right Wing" stuff that made me jump. Sorry, please slap me Hoopty. I will put a tighter muzzle on myself.   Plus I was caught on a very bad day.

As for spotted owls I agree with you. They taste much better fried than those pesty tree frogs....

I see you're at Ft. Lewis, WA.  My brother lives in Eatonville (not too far from there) and works on Strykers for General Dynamics.  Pretty country out there; I'll drop you a line next time I visit...

I love the Northwest. Great being in proximity to the ocean, mountians, wine country, great music, and our nieghbors to the North. The worst things are traffic and the overinflated housing market. Lots of Active Duty and retirees here as well, so common ground with many folks.

So, how's the fishing?  (THERE, I'm on topic!)  BTW, whales aren't fish.

Next time you go past Parkland roll down your window just a little and say hey to Freezers mom and pop.  I wouldn't stop there anymore though, turning into a tough neighborhood.  Better than Ponders corner, but not much!
