I am currently having issues with the Bridgeworks not being able to detect the bridge.   It seems to bug out at GPIB 31.   I have reinstalled Bridge works and have checked all cables and connections, including the lil termination on the IEEE.   Any suggestions?

Are any of the addresses duplicated??

Smokey

Have you checked the address of the bridge? I know this  sounds stupid but we had a similar problem where one of our techs changed the address without knowing it. In menu system on the bridge, simply by navigating to the gpib address you actually can change it. Should be at 4.

The adress is correct and no duplicates.   The National Instruments Automated measurement program is detecting the bridge when I run that but still nothing with the Bridgeworks.  :?

Have you tried it without the termination?  I had the same type of problem, and removing it did the job.

yah, removed it with no luck.   Sucks because I have alot of standards due and just got the new 4310 in and can't intercompare them because of this.   I'm waiting for AFMETCAL to start screamin at me along with my managment.

If the Windows firewall is up, try turning it off and reseting everything..I found this effective on the phase noise system

No go on that.

Thanks for the reply

Give Ken Eddy at AFMETCAL a call.  He's the man when it comes to those systems...

Thanks for everyones suggestions!!  I finally got things worked out.   Turns out something happened to the GPIB driver so I had to get rid of that then load a new one.

Also just throwing out there if anyone didn't know, if you get an error 2 and the servos are railing, you have an open in the system so check your wires and connections.

Okay, I have my own problem with the 6625.  During the Verification step of the calibration, I keep getting a message stating that the bridge has railed.  We are trying a few things, but I wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone had anything that could help us get this trough the 28 hour verification program and back into operational status.
