I think they were letting Davis and Sypris run their labs just as they were before they purchased them and once the name change goes into affect, they will consolidate the labs and eliminate any duplication. Of course I could be way off target. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm not sure how Danaher works.

USMCPMEL

Not true they have done all kinds of stuff already. Kaizan Blitzes lab consolidations, staff cuts. I would not look for anything else to change after the name change.

Couple quotes worthy of mentioning from that article:

"Danaher is the 800-pound gorilla in this space, and it's eating all the other little monkeys."

Awesome, just awesome

and

"Would Danaher get away with buying Agilent, too, thereby consolidating an entire industry under one corporate umbrella?"

Not NO, but HELL NO!

IMHO, Danaher is picking and choosing profitable ventures to sink it's grubby gorilla paws into, and leaving others (such as Druck) without the resources and network to remain afloat......... I do see a big Danaher vs Agilent battle brewing though. Might be good for pricing!

RFCAL

If the big D tried to put in a bid for Agilent,HP would bid higher to get them back.

I could see Agilent selling off the Electronic Test & Measurement line, keeping the Life Sciences & Chemical Analysis line.
