We are pleased to announce as of January 2011, Cal Lab Solutions acquired the publishing rights of Cal Lab Magazine from Carol Singer. We believe Cal Lab Magazine is an important resource to the metrology community worldwide. We believe we can grow the magazine's reputation and readership by marrying the printed publication with an online interactive community.

Carol Singer will not be leaving Cal lab Magazine. She is invaluable to the industry and I value her and her opinion greatly! She has agreed to remain on the Board of Advisers and fill an additional role as Contributing Editor for the next 3 years.

I am really glad to hear this news Mike. I hated it when I heard Cal Lab Magazine was going out of business. Because of that information our company declined to renew our subscription in December. If the magazine is going to continue, I will push to restart our subscription.

Good news Mike. I enjoy the Cal Lab magazine content, and coupled with Measure Magazine from NCSLi, we will continue to get valuable info for the metrology community. Congrats!

Thanks every body... I am just glad we can keep the resource alive.

I would also like to issue a formal "Call For Papers!"

I think the hardest part of publishing this magazine, is going to be getting all of your super smart people out there to write a paper for the Magazine.

I am planning on adding a "HOW TO" section to the magazine, were we would publish papers papers on how to make particular measurements.  All you old crusty calibrators out there have a lot of knowledge in your (just about to retire) heads.  I am hopping we can pass some of that knowledge down to the next generation.

If you have any ideas for papers (you would like to write) send them to Office@CalLabMag.com
