Job Description:

Inspect, modify, repair, and calibrate Measurement and Test Equipment. 

Apply knowledge of physics, electrical and electronic theory and higher mathematics to test and evaluate measuring, recording and indicating instruments and test equipment.

Uses knowledge of industry quality standards to assure strict quality compliance.

Actively supports and takes part in the Calibration laboratory quality program. 

Work may be done without established procedures.   

On occasion, may direct work, assign and outline tasks and check other's work for correctness.

May works within and outside the organization on calibration and measurement issues these interactions can require tact, persuasion and negotiation skills.

Required Skills:

The Calibration/Repair Technician will have a minimum of six years experience in functions such as; inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, or certifying electronic test equipment and laboratory standards. 

Knowledge of current quality standards for ANSI/ISO 9001, ANSI/Z540-1, and ISO 17025 is required. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Experience in a Military, Commercial or Private Industry Calibration Laboratory environment is desirable. 

Familiarity with calibration of high accuracy AC/DC, resistance, and capacitance test equipment.

Required Education:  High School diploma or GED required. 

Desired Education: Graduation from an approved Department of Defense Metrology course and/or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning are desirable.
