Shores of Hazeron

I'm heading back home tonight so I won't be able to join in the fun for a while.  In the meantime, has anyone every played Shores of Hazeron?  It's a cross between simcity and a decent space flight simulation with seamless transition from ground > space > systems > sector.  The engine is great though a bit laggy.  If you are a space enthusiest like myself you may find much enjoyment in this title.

I play Hazeron as well.  The lag can be a bit annoying at times, but usually it is fixed by quitting and then restarting the game (not an everyday thing for me).  I love the transition from sector space into a solar system:  star slowly gets larger...dots around the star appear, dots get larger...dots turn into planets with little dots around the planets.  Fantastic gameplay for a pre-alpha release.

My only recommendation, if you haven't played before, don't start off on your own.  You'll probably kill yourself before you figure out what is going on.  Read the book, check out the wiki, and join an established empire.

Harry and DJ...you are the problem with Cal techs. If you are going to play star trek or wars style games, at least pay the original ones.  But no, you play some knock of remake and probably stay up all night and don't get to work until noon.  Get off the games and learn your jobs.

CalDude, if you were actually an innovator you would find other interests beyond the rote nerdy fanboi subjects. 
In any event, Shores of Hazeron is awesome and I think once all of the bugs are worked out it will be spectacular.

Hi zenon. Do you stay at home playing games all day in mommy's basement? Perhaps show up to work around 10 am instead of 7? Don't show up to the fight if you can't hang.

Stop hijacking my thread please.  Not all of my time is spent playing video games and I'm sure that my salary and credentials speak highly of my competence.

Zenon:  PM me your empire and perhaps we can set up  trading between our systems?  What Tech level are you?  I'm at TL27.  Got warp 4!!  Takes me 15 minutes now to go to the nearest system.

Warp 4?!  Yeesh, we haven't even begun to successfully utilize the particle bay collectors.  We do, however have an abundance of TL32; but we haven't started creating solely TL32 mats.  I'm getting a bit perturbed, in my world-dominating mind we should by all rights have successful processes as soon as I tell it to.
