they are merging with US Air

They are a terrible airline, but the fact they are basically the sole contractor for DoD air travel stateside keeps them afloat (IMHO)

The stock has been on an amazing run as of late. If I had got in when I initially wanted to I would literally be getting close to retirement as is I am just trying to see when to sell. It has gone up astronomically

Well, like Squidley said, they're going to do a merger with US Air (which is another government contractor). I'd watch it closely, myself, and let it go at the first sign of a slide. US Air will be the big dog in the deal. It's up to the regulators now.
