So they come here and make a quick post about "Hey we have the job for you"  But they never say the pay scale and they also never come back to see if anyone has posted any questions.    nice.....
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN:

A veteran - whether on active duty, honorably discharged, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

Coup that pretty much sums it up, but then there are times when Bills have to paid and what not. Waiting for the perfect job/company to contact you........or take the job at the low end of the scale to pay bills.....hard decision, but one that is made more often it seems.

This is why they get away with an offer of low pay. Somebody will take the job, they may be a good tech or a complete nuke.....either way the position has been filled.

Some companies want to hire electronics techs from school for all their PLC programming.......other collateral duties are the routine calibrations. Metrology falls to the side here as your most important aspect is to make all the stuff work at the right time and place.

Here in the pharmaceutical world, it seems like half the work involves actual calibration work- the other half is doing all the verdammt paperwork that comes with the job.  Between the clients, the FDA, and our own internal systems, we do a helluva lot of paperwork, all necessary, but tedious and time-consuming...

So after interviewing a tech for a job about their training and experience, my next question is always "How's your penmanship?"  :-)
If it works, it's a Fluke.
