LOCATION: Huntington, WV

BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
Support the Huntington, WV facility through the calibrations of measurement and test equipment (M&TE), preventative maintenance, and facility environmental monitoring.  Will follow documented procedures and adhere to ISO, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education:  High School graduate plus Associates Degree or Technical school/college in related Metrology disciplines.   

* Experience:   10 years related Metrology experience.
   
* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  High School math and algebra skills.  Experience with physical/dimensional, temperature, and electronic calibration techniques.  Excellent understanding of process equipment, basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to troubleshoot measurement and process equipment.  Familiarity with primary and secondary calibration standards and the associated SI units.  Ability to read schematics.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and attention to detail.  Ability to self-direct.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education:  High School graduate plus Associates Degree or Technical school/college in related Metrology disciplines

* Experience:  15 years related Metrology experience.

* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  College level math and algebra skills.  Expertise in physical dimensional, temperature, and electronic calibration techniques and with process equipment calibrations.  Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in measurement and process equipment.  Knowledgeable in the use of intrinsic, primary, secondary, and working standards, and artifacts,  Proficient in reading schematics, GDT, and process drawings,  Knowledgeable in the regulations governing medical devices and quality standards and complete command of Metrology industry standards and requirements.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literate, attention to detail and self directed.

* Certifications:    ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).

What is the salary range? I also noticed that you are looking for someone with a Metrology degree. Do you guys not accept military PMEL school, seeing how it is a better and more in depth school than a local community/technicial college? We are curious to know why you are not looking for a canidate with a military PMEL school. Most calibration labs look for a canidate with military PMEL school.
