Replacement Batteries for the Datron 4910 Tasty Pick

Fifteen of the PowerSonic PS-628 batteries (6V 2.9AH) can be used without modification in a Datron 4910. This battery is about 65mm deep x 32mm wide x 108mm high (including terminals). All batteries are in a single layer with the terminals up. I used the original wiring without modification. Once the batteries are in place fill any small open spaces with Styrofoam chunks. The large plastic battery position clamp still will work if turned upside down. Follow that with the top plate.

My unit (on battery power) was lost at Tektronix for 12 days and never ran out of juice! The additional 50% capacity can be very handy. Battery cost was $177 for 17 (2 extra that I didn't need) of them including shipping from BatterySharks.com.
