Develops, applies, revises and maintains test plans for releasing and evaluating software products.  Analyzes data relating to product quality and recommends corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Develops, applies and maintains software test plans to support the release of software.
• Devises and uses sampling techniques to support ad hoc testing.
  Performs activities defined in the test plans and collaborates with the broader engineering team to implement changes based on the results of the testing.
• Act as a liason between the product support and engineering teams.   Interact with support and customers to verify the validity of reported problems.
• Work with metrology software team to support and enhance the MET/CAL product line.
• Troubleshooting software issues
• Interfacing with engineering to resolve problems.
• Assist with technical support to help customers.  Will require direct customer contact.
• Create and maintain software test plans.
• Provide system and end user documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a lab technician
• Able to troubleshoot software and hardware problems.
• Experience with instrumentation (electrical, mechanical, pressure, etc.)
• Knowledge of a variety of software applications.
• Ablility to provide end user documentation.
• Fluent in the Windows environment.
• Ability to design and implement a test plan.
• Office and calibration lab environments.
• Long hours may be required to meet deadlines.
• Travel less than 10%.  2+ years technician experience.
• Good trouble shooting skills.
