I understand the insurance companies need a new dictionary of exactly what means what. They are royally screwing the frack out of people that are insured.

Anyhow what's new scooby-doo? I see some trainees flew back in. There was another stop order this weekend too.

Yes, insurance is definitely the best racket going.  I got hosed by mine.

For anybody out there worried about flood damage and renters insurance, the ONLY company that I've seen covering flood automatically, is USAA.  I had mine through GEICO, who basically farms those policies out to 3rd parties, which sucks big time.  I've since cancelled that worthless policy and moved to USAA.  I guess that's one of those lessons learned the hard way... oh well.

I did get another base house that wasn't too terribly damaged by the storm (lost a vent in the roof and some sheetrock damage below the vent).  I was lucky in that I was in a 2 story and the upstairs wasn't affected.  So all the bedroom furniture and clothes and kids stuff was saved, but downstairs was a total loss.  I am in a much better situation than most folks out there, so it is hard for me to complain really.

As for training, it looks like we'll still be doing it here at Keesler.  In fact, there are basic courses going on downstairs right now.  TACAN and Adv. Cal are on hold indefinitely because we can't support any TDY students (billeting is full of homeless folks and relief workers).  The phys-d course will be online soon, but that's due to the Navy being involved.  We may end up having to go TDY to train the 7-level at some time, but I don't know the timeframe on that.  It's waiverable anyhow.

There is still alot of uncertainty here, and it seems to change daily.  Sorry I haven't posted much, but I'm pretty busy most of the time.  Things are slowly getting back to normal, so I should have more time down the road.
There are only 10 types of people in this world.  Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
