I am going to start this thread to announce any new content.

So, with that... the October edition of the AFMETCAL newsletter is now available in the download section.

I'm happy to announce that we've added a CDC tester to the site.  It contains only the questions from the Unit Review Exercises (URE) and generates 100 random question tests.  It is set up to test 2P051 Set A, 2P051 Set B, and 2P071.  It will record all of your results and let you view them at any time.  This  allows you see your progress and know how you're doing.

Since it is a separate application and database, you will have to register a username and password.   I wish that I could tie this application and the main site together, but at the moment I can't.  You can use the same info that you use on the main site, or you can enter new stuff.

Lastly, I would like to thank Chris Bowden for the initial version of the database.  I was able to build on his work in order to put the online version together and it saved me ALOT of time.

Check it out by clicking the link on the main menu, or click http://www.pmelforum.com/phpTest/index.php">here.

Just a note on the cdc tester...

After comparing the questions in the database to the most current CDC's, I've found that there are a few minor differences.  I will be working on these in order to bring them up to date.  From what I've seen so far, it shouldn't be a big deal, but just keep in mind that it is not 100% CDC URE yet.

Also, if you notice any problem questions/answers let me know.  Hopefully I get them all right the first time, but I know that's not likely...

Just to let you know, the 7-level portion of the CDC tester should be good to go now.  I went through and purged the old questions and added the new stuff using the most current CDCs.  I plan on starting the 5 levels soon, but it does take a while.  Please let me know if you find any errors.

Also, I've added a guestbook module to the site.  While the forum is a good place to post the same kind of stuff, some folks probably don't want to register just for that.  Sooo, the guestbook doesn't require any registration and visitors can still leave a message or look for people they know. Go ahead and sign the book, even if you're registered and in the memberlist by clicking here.

Just added the October edition of the AFMETCAL newsletter to the download section.

I'm still looking for a copy of the July edition, so if anybody's got it, please e-mail me a copy.  Thanks.

I don't know if anybody has noticed the little 'geovisitors' icon at the bottom of the page, but it's something I added the other day.  If you click on it or this link: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/geovisitors/ you can see where our visitors are coming from.  It only holds 24 hrs worth of data, but it's kind of cool if you ask me.

One thing though, if you're browser can't send referrer information (i.e. Norton Internet Security), you will end up just seeing the visitor information for the digitalpoint site.  If it's working correctly, you should see "Currently showing the location of visitors to www.pmelforum.com in the last 24 hours." above the map.

Give it a whirl!
