Does anyone have or know where I can buy or borrow a 12/24 contact extender card for the Guildline 9975?  I have a single sided extender, but the signal demodulator board requires a double sided extender.  Of course, it is this card that needs additional testing and possible repair.

My lab has two 9975's.  I don't know if there is an extender card inside or not.  We also have a box full of old extender cards.  So you're looking for a 12/24 (12 on each side, discrete per side)?

Hello Hawaii596,

My 9975 has an unused slot in the card cage at the left side as viewed from the back.  Since an extender is needed for alignment, this slot may originally have held one.  Any extender would have needed a short socket (no ears) to fit into the 2-1/4 inch cage; the card cage groves about 1/16 inch deep.

Yes, I need an extender with 12 discrete contacts per side.  The cards are 2-3/8 inch wide and almost 4-3/4 inch long.  If the extender card socket is more than 2-1/4 inch long, the card would have to be at least 4-3/4 inch long excluding the socket.

Tucker Electronics has some HP extender cards that may fit; they offered to send one with right of return.  They cannot tell me if the HP cards have the needed 0.156 inch spacing between contact centers - therefore the right of return.  These cards are not an ideal fit and are short, but two of them may work.

Thank you,

Hi All,

The HP 5060-0258 extender cards I ordered from Tucker Electronics work.  One extender is not quite long enough to allow access to the socket contacts with mini-grabbers, so I ordered two cards.
