MET/TEAM and IndySoft Communication

We recently purchased MET/TEAM Ver. 2.1.2 to use MET/CAL and IndySoft MET/CAL import module. We cannot get the IndySoft module to communicate with MET/TEAM. The programmers at IndySoft tell me it is because MET/TEAM went to the web and that they (IndySoft) need to fix their software. Has anyone dealt with this and maybe found a solution?

I haven't but I have used that Indysoft import tool before. Met/TEAM is a replacement to Met/TRACK which IndySoft bases their import module on. I know that when I had the option to upgrade our Met/TRACK system to Met/TEAM, I didn't want to. The import tool uses the database file that Met/TRACK used. I'm not sure what database file that Met/TEAM uses, but I think that what you need to do is see if there is a way that Fluke can either downgrade you to Met/TRACK or give you some info on the way the database file is set up. I always thought that Met/TEAM's web based system would just have a portal on your company's site to lead to a master program. I'm not really sure. The biggest problem I have with this all is that IndySoft will take A LONG time to support that and they will probably not be very helpful. I hope you get this all resolved.

Cal Lab Solutions will be providing support, solutions and automated calibration procedures for those companies that don't want to upgrade to MET/TEAM.

Slightly off topic of the thread, but made me think of this...

Doing a calibration with SureCal with as found/left readings, best (most efficient method) to transfer data into Indysoft (question for fellow Indy users).

I am thinking of using Excel for the data on SureCal end, and setting data type in Indysoft to Excel.  Anyone with experience/thoughts on this. I can always transcribe by hand. Just wondered if any fellow Indysoft users may have done this enough to suggest most expeditious method.

.
What I used to do with excel was to set up indysoft for excel data. You can copy your test points and import then paste it. So you would have your be able to do that. OR if SureCal makes a report in some way, you can always save it as a PDF and upload it to the event. Then when you get to the end of your calibration event, you add the comment "See attached data sheet." The report will actually generate your company's certificate and also the attached data. Lots of ways to work with it.

My next option would be to have MET/TEAM export the data to Excel and then import it to IndySoft. I've used the MET/CAL import module in IndySoft before but the cal lab I was at still had MET/TRACK. Yes, IndySoft is being slow about the fix. I don't expect it any time soon.

I don't think it is a being slow thing!  So many things changed in the data structures moving from MET/CAL to MET/TEAM I would compare it to moving from Window to LINUX.  It is that different!

Mike is right, it is that different and a PITA :-( We are currently upgrading to Met/Team. It is great software for commercial labs, but not too special for house labs. Not too happy about it either.

I had to look up PITA!  I was not surprised to find you were not talking about bread.
