MetTrack Strange Syncing Problem

Have two separately licensed individual installs of MetCal & MetTrack on two laptops. Have complete client and server installed with the purpose of using them to do MetCal calibrations, then import data into Indysoft.  These were both working until recently.

They were separately installed, and not in any way connected with each other. But recently (not sure who may have done what to one or both of the laptops), they have begun trying to sync to each other.  Seems like one acts like Master and the other acts like Slave. When Wifi runs, and you change anything on one of them, it automatically changes it on the other. When Wifi is turned off, one of them won't work, as it can't communicate with the other one.  I suspect someone using them altered something, and both of them are on the road now with this problem. Any advice on what got changed, and how to change it back so that the two laptops operate independently?

Might be an ODBC issue. Maybe change the database name on one laptop from "Calibration Data" to another name of your choosing. Then reconfigure the ODBC on the same laptop to point to the new name.

They are on the road. Happened while away from the lab. Back in a little over a week.  Thanks for that input. I will be checking that (among other things) when they return. annoying when techs are trying to do calibrations with data on MetCal (on the road), and importing into Indysoft. If I find out anything interesting (or further questions), I will post here.

PurelyNonsense

Can't MetCal and indysoft have settings to prevent Technicians from messing with settings like that? I remember having admin rights because I was the one running the program, programming the software and doing everything for it. But regular techs would only have rights to use it, not edit settings. Try and see if you can change operator rights. Give MetCal separate users if you only have one (one user account per each tech).

Believe me, I know. This is not our main install of MetCal/MetTrack. We have a regular network install at the main lab. Everything is connected to server drives (normal type install), and is will locked down. Indysoft also has a regular network install with licenses, etc. But these are on the road laptops with stand alone installs of both. Indysoft on the stand alone laptops is also pretty well locked down.  They are on the road (and were when this happened).  So yes, once they come back and we figure out what may have changed, we will also be looking at better lockdown for the stand alone installs of MetCal/MetTrack.  There are some other problems as well that I don't think are techs monkeying with settings. Probably not appropriate to share too much detail here.

Ah gotcha. Stand alone laptops can be great but also kind of terrifying in the sense that they can be bit fickle when they go wrong. I used the IndySoft Met/Cal import before but had to always mess with it to format it correctly. I think the real issue is that IndySoft is competing with Met/Track and/or Met/TEAM. Perhaps they have a few software gremlins in there trying to muck up the setup Bugs Bunny style!

Dear all,
I need support software Surecal 5.2, my data warehouse is not much for new models.
Can anyone help me with this software data. (Example CP0000).
We wish the help of everyone.
