Last nites hunt. Once again, heard plenty hogs, saw plenty deer, bobcats, coyots, etc. But no good shots of hogs. Maybe spot and stalk next time? :?

I popped the rabbit with my .40 cal from about 20 yards around 9:30 at nite.... :mrgreen:

Sweet! We took them with a .45 and 12 gauge 00 buck. Not really coon ammo, but.... :lol:

I shot a porcupine once with a 12-gauge; he was eating the salt off the tires on Dad's trucks.  Grabbed the wrong shells and hit him with a slug instead of birdshot- the quills dispersed over quite a wide area!  I did find a paw, but aside from the quills, nothing else!  I aimed, pulled the trigger, and POOF!  He was gone, disappeared...
If it works, it's a Fluke.

We hunt them with .22's. My son has also like to shoot them with his .410 shotgun.
