Sypris does not run a professional business!  They flew me to Phoenix for an interview and told me during the interview to start contacting real estate people to sell my current home.  Weeks go by and I don't hear anything, one way or another.  I write an e-mail asking about the job and they do not even respond!  Beware!

I didn't have the same expirence. I was interviewed and was told to find a place to live and they couldn't get me in there fast enough. I am sorry that you had some kind of bad expirence, but for everyone else that works here it is a very professional place. This is the best company that I have worked for. I have worked for Georgia Power Primary Standards Lab, GE, Electrorent and Kay & Associates ( Robins contract PMEL ). Sypris is by far the most professional of them all. Sypris is a big company and our HR handles a bunch of applicants. Did you ever call to find out what happened? During my hiring process I never had a problem contacting HR during business hours directly. Matter of fact we were in contact about every other day for 3 weeks before I started.  Did you actually get a job offer?

After I interviewed the HR staff picked up on the fact that I had just retired and would like 2 weeks to get back together with my family and do the big honey do list.  They gave me that time.  The called about 2 weeks after I interviewed and offered me a job.  The have always been nothing but professional to me.  I think you might have jumped the gun.  Any professional company would give you either an offer or a letter stating that they are looking else where.  To bad mouth a company could cause the loss of the job.

Sypris is a very good company to work for.  I highly recommend them to anyone.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN:

A veteran - whether on active duty, honorably discharged, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in

I didn't jump the gun, I waited for the official offer and it never came, nor did any notification that I did not get the job!  They NEVER spoke to me after the interview even after I wrote an e-mail to HR asking what the decision was.  They had all my phone numbers and my e-mail, they just made the decision not to communicate everything to me.  This might just be the way they always handle those they do not hire.  I wasn't completely sure they were going to offer because I got the feeling they could not meet my salary requirements.  In any case, it is unprofessional just to leave things hanging and refuse to respond to e-mail.

Apparently you haven't read the rules on this board, you are free to bad mouth any company except Sypris. LOL   I have heard good and bad about them; I guess its all depends on the individual. Those who worked for Lucent, never liked Sypris as much
