Since I am older than dirt, and even remember tube theory,  I think this ASQ crapola is just another way of some institution to make bucks.   In PMEL, the ones that cannot do the job do get squeezed out in most cases.  The one that CAN do the job shouldnt have to pay some newby institution for a piece of paper saying that yes, I do this.         Horse crap

Alot of manufacturing places require ASQ certification. The CCT just came about a couple of years ago with alot of people helping. Even some from the PMEL world. Not a bunch of crap actually a good thing, since their isn't a whole lot of training out there besides the military.
