Okay what I was getting at in the first post was that we all experince things. Some good and some bad, while we are performing our jobs. It's those things that I believe should be shared as this website seemed to be formed for. I truly can't belive that no one has posted on TACAN. Is everyone saying that there are no problems with that area?

Today I'm working on a HUD fixture (F-15) and the level fails vial sensitivity. I got the price of a new one from Davidson Optronics....amazed it was only $88. But I also called Steve Smith at AFMETCAL and try to see if he could work on the TAR of 1.2:1. My level was at 5.275 seconds. The standards listed were for +/- 20 micro inch blocks....I believe everyone has the exchange blocks now. If he can find 0.5 seconds for us it is well worth it and money saving.

For the Phys-D types(IIB).....What could you support if you had a 20 micro inch Universal Supermic? It measures outside, inside...acts a dial indicator calibrator and much more....How much more could you support? AFMETCAL wants to get it for us. They also wanta know what else could be supported.

This is just a couple of things.....what else could you all say about, We don't have this standard, this doesn't work, I found a better way. That is what this site is about In my opinion. Yes we can catch up to people and have fun also, though we can also help each other.

So those that think they have nothing to offer....remember their isn't a dumb question, you may just have the answer for us all. There is over 100 members on this site, I do believe that all,  if not most, have some valuable information
