Isn't that when you stand real closed to TNT and check to see if it tears all your limbs off when ignited? I guess most people only calibrate one of those in their life time.

Anybody doing Dynamic pressure calibration. I'm looking for ranges upto 125K. Though we do also low pressure.

A little off topic, but along the same subject line for people who like to blow things up... I have run across detonation velocity meters before. They have fiber optic cables that go to each explosive charge, and when the charges go off, the flash of light from each explosion goes down the cables into a series of detectors. The first one starts a timer, then as each successive charge explodes, the meter measures the time between flashes to calculate the detonation velocity.

Funny thing is, the calibration of those would probably use the same sort of digital delay generators and optical-to-electrical and electrical-to-optical converters used in time-of-flight calibration of optical time domain reflectometers.

We are trying to set up an ILC and are willing to be the pivot lab, but we need some others out there.

Someone throw a bone out or something
