Howdy peoples :). . .  I recently burned the living daylights out of the temp probe on my Digital temp gage.  It is no longer made. . . no spare parts available.  I need to apparently replace this relic with something newer/better.  Any ideas as to what would be the best handheld digital temp gage replacement for it? It is a HLC-80P made by Henry Mann Inc.  I don't want to buy something cheap.  This  temp gage has +/- . 1% of reading (0-199. 9c)

Any ideas would be appreciated

Omega has a wide selection of temp probes and meters.  Hart Scientific has some of the best stuff (they are now owned by Fluke).  Fluke sells temp probes/modules to go with hendheld DMMs (at least they used to).  Cole Parmer has meters.  It all depends on what accuracy and range you need (as compared to what you had).  RTD thermometers are more accurate but a little more expensive.  You can shop around thermocouple types for what range and accuracy you want.  Among the above companies, I think you might find what you need.
