One position is a GS11/12, starting at $61k and another at GS-13 at $86k.   This work is a lot of alarm systems, access control systems and video security.   DC pay in a more affordable area to live (fredericksburg).   Military vets get a 5 pt preference which kicks them to the front of the line.

If applying stress your broad range of electronics (not just test equipment) knowledge, networking knowledge, computer and software knowledge, etc.

go to www. fbijobs. gov and on page 5 and 6, or search on Quantico
You will need a resume on file at www. usajobs. gov

New position at Quantico: GS13, starting at $41. 65/hr!
go to www. fbijobs. gov and have a resume on file with www. usajobs. gov.
A large variety of work: networking, alarm systems, access control systems, video security, 5 point veteren preference goes along way to getting vets to the top. . .

Just one note: If it's a FBI or CIA position it's probably an exempted one, if so you can be terminated at any time for any reason without recourse. But I doubt that would ever happen.

It's called "at will employee"  With the exception of our union brothers and sisters, I think most employees (not contract) are at will.

The original post is from 2009, just guessing but the position is probably not available
I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

I realize this thread is old, but I wanted to clear things up a bit...

Good luck starting out as a GS-13...  Let me know how that works out for you.  Probably not going to happen.  I could see it happening in DOD, but probably not elsewhere.

Also, not all veterans get a 5pt preference, in fact, the list is quite small about who gets a 5pt preference.  On the other hand, almost all veterans get to apply as status applicants.
