DTI I have heard of and met some of their people.  Trescal, I have never heard of.  We received an email message in their distribution late this afternoon stating that DTI is now a part of Trescal who claims to be the largest metrology services provider in the world.  I won't pick on that statistic as I have never heard of them, but this is interesting news.  You mean there is someone bigger than Danaher in the calibration services world (no sarcasm intended)?  I took a quick look at Trescal's website (trescal.com) and saw they have presence all over Europe.

Anyone familiar with them have any good info about them?

Will let you know after I work for them a year or two. Everything sounds good. Managert's not worried about their jobs.

Any idea if they need anyone around Montreal, Quebec or do they not have a presence there?

DTI is their first purchase in North America. But, try www.trescal.com for Europe.

Dynamic Technology Inc. based out of Hartland MI. I have been working for them for 11 years now. We have multiple labs across the country. We had the biggest scope of accreditation in the country until recently. We have been growing leaps and bound the last couple of years. I work with a great group of people. I am the Automation Manager and Senior Technician. TresCal is the number 1 calibration lab in Europe. It has been about six months since the acquisition and to TresCal's credit they have not changed a lot why change something that has been working very well. If you have any other question I would be happy to answer them.

Trescal is well known in France and some labs around in Europe. in fact here we don't know DTI... they're not fast in taking decisions, not easy to handle. Each agency is moving alone and can take decisions on the way to manage their customers. starting to be to big to handle at the top. i was working with 3-4 agencies , around 5-7 years activity with them in subcontracting in repairs. not good feeling today about their new approach.

I was going to go into a long rant on this but Met could you be a little clearer on your statements? Are you talking about TresCal or DTI?

I don't know anything about DTI , I'm taliking about Trescal agencies or the way they work locally in Europe.

Ive dealt with them and I have seen a decline in service more than anything.  I would say Quality is there but everything else seems to take forever.

Most places seem that way anymore. I have sent equipment out for calibration that takes months to get back.
