Looking for suggestions. Just say your Fluke model 9133 low temp IR calibrator and your Fluke 9132 high temp IR calibrator pass spec's with PRT calibrations. The 9133 low temp calibrator pass test for all IR guns but 9132 high temp calibrator doesn't cut it. Even at identical temp settings the 9132 tails off at 5 degrees at 300 degF.  400 degrees its maybe 10 degF low compared to other high temp IR calibrators. Should this 9132 be calibrated with a  PRT or IR measurement device.

When you say they both pass for spec's for PRT calibrations,  have you already performed the adjustments using a PRT and updated the coefficients?  If you have,  I would solve the problem in the following manner:

If used same PRT to perform calibrations on both then re-check the coefficients

If used different PRT's to calibrate each unit then compare PRT's and check for mismatch

If coefficients are entered correctly and there is no PRT mismatch error, you may be looking at a repair.

There shouldn't be errors between the units of the degree you are stating if both are calibrated correctly.

To answer your question, you should utilize a PRT.
