Does anyone have a manual or published specifications for an ARI 205D Hypot Basic? Can't find one online, GIDEP doesn't have anything for it and the manufacturer will not give out the manual because they don't support it anymore. (They claim liability reasons) I have sent out a request on GIDEP with no luck. I have two of these to calibrate and the customer can't find the old certs. Hitting a brick wall here.

I have an extensive technical library of vintage AR instruments but I don't have that model.

The instruments are obsolete and should be replaced with models which are supportable.

Did you try Tucker Electronics?  They are closing down and getting rid of all of their manuals-- if you get lucky, they might have this one.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend sending the OEM an email and request their help. Some OEM's, if asked the right way (even for very old obsolete units), may put in an effort to find a copy and provide it. The OEM may be one of the highest likelihood resources. R&S is really good about providing service manuals that they don't have online. Not sure how good Associated Research is.

"if asked the right way"

Definitely. When I had a problem with one of my HP11792A sensors the guys up at the Keysight Roseville facility emailed me schematics that I couldn't find. They appeared to be from their personal library (they had hand written notes on them)

They also sold me a latch from the sliding load in one of my cal kits that was definitely appreciated and saved us a lot of money.
