The U&TW finished up here last week, and there are going to be some changes to the courses at Keesler.  I am only aware of the ones affecting the supplemental courses.

First, after 1 Oct 2004, there will be no more 7-level courses taught.  Not sure anyone will miss that one...

Second, the Advanced Cal course will be broken up into two separate courses.  One will be be the K3/4 portion already being taught.  The second one will focus on K1/8, specifically the 6625AF resistance standard.  Each will be 3 weeks in length, and probably taught back to back.  This affords units the choice of sending personnel to either one or both.

As I'm the only current supplemental instructor (instructor to be anyway) with experience on the 6625, I'm hearing that I'll be involved in the development and probably instruction of the course.  We'll see though...

Anyhow, that's it for the changes that I know of.

There are only 10 types of people in this world.  Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Have fun with Ken Eddy on that one. Does the schoolhouse have their 4310AF standard resistors yet???

Does the schoolhouse have a 6625AF yet????

Hoopty

Neither.  We're wondering where they're going to come from too...

Would be kinda hard to teach a class that focuses on something you guys don't have. I know the lab there has a 6625AF......not sure when they will get the resistors though.

It's going to be a little bit before the class comes online.  Still have to write the course and whatnot.  No guarantee that we'll have it by then either.
