After much tweaking the site is finally indexable.

I had to make a few changes to the way the site was laid out, and how each page was called up, in order to allow the search engine spiders to crawl the site.  Initially, all I could get listed was the front page.  Finally, I came up with some ways to make it more search engine friendly and here they are.  It may be a little while before all of the pages get indexed, but google, yahoo, and msn have all been here.

I have also been making some changes in the site name and slogan too.  PMELforum doesn't work for the keyword PMEL so I broke up the names in the title (as it is located on every page!).  The title is one of several components that the search engines use for ranking purposes.

The key is to saturate the site with the keywords that you want your site associated with.  And you have to do it without cramming meaningless keyword laiden pages into your site (because that's cheating).  My goal is to make the first page with PMEL.  Others words would be nice too, but PMEL for sure.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know about the progress that the sites made so far.  Thanks for helping make it this good this fast.

Woohoo!  We've finally made page one of http://www.google.com">Google for the keyword PMEL.  The site is currently #9 and gaining!

It's amazing what kind of traffic a search engine drives in... that and the keywords people use to find us!  It's no Ebay or anything, but I'm satisfied with the growth lately.  Besides, there is a good amount of anonymous traffic that doesn't show up on the radar, so we're doing better than it appears, memberwise.

Anyhow, just so you know I haven't been slacking here, but have actually been doing alot of work behind the scenes.  Optimizing the site is a whole new world to me, so I've got a little bit of a learning curve to overcome.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the progress over the past 6 months.

Thanks for all the support  and here's to an even better next 6 months!!

Just noticed that we made it to the 1st page for http://www.yahoo.com">Yahoo! and http://www.msn.com">MSN as well.  MSN uses Yahoo! for its results for now, but their new beta engine has us at #14.  So we should be in good shape when it goes live too.

Google seems to be the only one not indexing the entire site.  Right now they update the home page daily, and that's it.  It should make a pretty good change in the results we see from that engine (for a host of other keywords) once they get the whole site indexed.

Again, thanks to everybody for the continued support.

Please feel free to offer suggestions for improvement over here!
